Parents looking to migrate

Parents may be able to migrate to Australia if they have a child in Australia who is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

There are a variety of temporary and permanent visa options for parents.

Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visa subclass 870

This is a temporary visa which allows the parents of an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent resident to visit and live in Australia temporarily for 3 or 5 years but does not offer a pathway to permanent residency.

Contributory Parent visa subclass 143

This is a permanent visa which allows the parents of an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent resident to

come and live permanently in Australia.

Contributory Parent (Temporary) visa subclass 173

This is a temporary visa which allows the parents of an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent resident to live temporarily in Australia and has a pathway to permanent residency in the form of contributory Parent visa subclass 143.

Parent Visa subclass 103

This is a permanent visa which allows the parents of an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent resident to

come and live permanently in Australia.The processing time for this visa is as long as 30 years.

Visa Options for Dependent Child

There are Temporary and Permanent visa options available for dependent Children to migrate to Australia.There are various visa sub classes available depending on various eligibility criteria.
